HIPPOLD wins the 'Electrical & Mechanical Engineering' category

The Initiative Zink, an association of zinc processing companies, awards zinc die-cast products every two years in six different categories: mobility, sanitary technology, electrical engineering & mechanical engineering, security & locking technology, lifestyle, innovation
In the Electrical Engineering & Mechanical Engineering category, the focus is on various criteria: tool structure, tolerances on the component, geometric properties, substitution character and sustainability of the component.
The decisive factors for the jury were the high demands on dimensional accuracy (tolerances of +/- 0.03mm) and minimum wall thicknesses of up to 0.16mm on the component. The result of the implementation and the geometry of the interior were praised as watchmaker quality in precision mechanics. The modular mold structure is realized microtechnology and true microcasting - an absolute limit experience in terms of accuracy and manufacturability in mold making.
At this point we would like to thank all employees and see this award as a success of great teamwork! The Zinc Die Casting Award 2024 is also a motivation and challenge for us to pursue further innovative projects.
The award was presented at the end of May at Aalen University as part of the foundry colloquium.
